Due to this safe and desirable location a scheme for residential dwellings for families was planned. The site is located between a car park and residences, and was formerly occupied by a single storey commercial unit and 4 garages. Yelo were tasked to create contemporary residential units that would sit well in the local scene and mitigate any overlooking issues from the neighbouring properties.
Three 2 bedroom houses and a single storey ecohouse are being constructed, each with private gardens. Due to concern shown in the pre-application report, the south side of the site has been designated as the garden area and the north side is the new access road & private parking spaces.
The building is a mixture of red and dark brick designed to sit comfortably within the existing urban character of the area. In addition to rear garden space the bungalow will feature a green roof. All the properties will benefit bin and cycle storage.
Yelo were appointed to gain planning consent in order to facilitate the sale of the site. The new owners then appointed us to to deliver an enhanced planning consent, planning condition sign off, building regulations, construction drawing package and onsite advice.
