Yelo have submitted a planning application for the erection of a 3 bedroom house on a long and narrow site within a residential area.
We have designed an open plan living arrangement on the ground floor, with a bedroom and ensuite shower to the north and lounge to the south. A courtyard separates the kitchen and lounge area, allowing natural light to illuminate both the spaces. This also eliminates the need for windows to be placed on the boundary walls which would result in overlooking issues. On the first floor two more bedrooms are proposed with a shared bathroom. The southernmost bedroom opens up onto a generously sized terrace overlooking the courtyard.
From the street view the building will match the materials of its existing neighbours, while the building face not visible from the street will introduce a few more contemporary elements such as white brick and timber fencing.
