Yelo Architects have submitted a planning application for the demolition of an existing bungalow and the erection of two new build high quality, 3 bed, two storey dwellings. The existing house is currently unoccupied and, along with the whole site, in a poor condition.

Each proposed house will benefit from a kitchen/dining area and separate living space that both open on to the garden. Two of the three bedrooms will have a terrace and all will have in built storage. Glazing has largely been focused on the south east corner of both properties to maximise the views of the fields to the south.

One of the main considerations of the proposal is to minimise the impact on the neighbouring properties the west. The form of the building has been designed to pitch down towards the west in order to reduce the scale and height of the dwelling on its western side. The proposed materials are designed to be contemporary and to sit comfortably within the existing street scene. The dwellings will consist of red brick, white render, timber cladding, glass balustrades and grey powder coated window frames, all of which are which are found within the surrounding street.

Two car parking spaces will be provided for each dwelling. A bike store for each dwelling is proposed, with bin stores for the collection and separation of recyclable waste.
