Scale: Extension and renovation

Yelo produced a feasibility for this church in Hove. The brief was to open the church up further to the community and for new uses.
We designed a new extension that made the church feel more open and inviting from the street. The extension included lots of new elements that could not have previously been incorporated into the actual church. However it was items like toilets, kitchen and admin areas that were essential to encourage the new community uses. We designed flexible sound proofed rooms that were ideal for functions such as a creche, yoga classes, meetings etc.
As part of the design process we produced a detailed 3D model using in Virtual Reality in order to virtually walk through the whole design.
