This 2 storey 3 bedroom dwelling will replace an existing unused agricultural barn on the edge of the South Downs National Park.
The house design has drawn inspiration from its surroundings and will be clad in charred timber, echoing the material found on other buildings within the surrounding agricultural estate and creating a modern contemporary look whilst retaining a countryside barn-like feel. The angled roof further emulates a gabled barn structure and also includes large skylights to let in maximum natural light into the internal space – a key feature as the intended resident is a practicing traditional artist.
