Our client wished to upgrade his existing home to cater to his needs of frequently working from home whilst providing a comfortable modern living environment for his family. We achieved this through alterations to the internal layout and strategic use of materials and lighting.
The kitchen and dining area were combined to provide an open communal space and allow natural light from the large bifold doors to flood the area. To further increase space a new corridor was added at the entrance of the property.
The garage was linked to the house and converted into a study/guest bedroom. Moving the study from the house to the garage freed up area within the house to provide much needed utility and storage space, and gave the study additional privacy.
Careful selection of materials ensures that a contemporary and bright aesthetic is present both internally and externally while allowing the building to sit comfortably in its residential surroundings.
