Lost in the Lanes

Nile Street, Brighton

Status: Completed

Previously used as a retail space, we worked with up and coming brand Lost In The Lanes to convert this ground floor unit into a cafe with bespoke customer seating, a bar serving area, customer accessible display fridges, catering kitchen and a fully accessible WC. The cafe is designed to be flexible in terms of use and is adaptable to serve as an event space.

Located in the twisting alleyways of The Lanes, Brighton’s historic quarter, the cafe is designed to reflect the creative and maze-like character of its surroundings. Antique mirrors adorn the walls and detailed lighting features will illuminate the space. The prominent front window provides space for displays and a new bifold window will replace the existing front window, allowing for natural ventilation during the summer without impeding on passing pedestrians.
