St Andrews Road, Brighton
Scale: 7 houses
Client: Natterjack
Status: Complete
This site was formerly occupied by an unused daycare centre. Planning was obtained to create 7 houses on site and Yelo Architects were brought in to deliver the technical and construction phase of the project.
All houses have been built on the north-south axis of the site, meaning that the majority of habitable room windows (bedroom and living room) will be facing south. Additionally all houses will benefit from south facing garden and patio areas. To circumnavigate the issue of overlooking into the the neighbouring properties’ gardens, the houses are sunken into the ground and strategically arranged at right angles to the surrounding houses. Cycle storage is provided for in the rear patio area of each house, as well as a parking space for each unit.
